Years ago, when I was first channeling, I remember a message given to a group in Maryland where we were warned of storms and tsunamis on the horizon as metaphors for great changes on the way. And here we are. We have entered the time of those storms.
So how is your nervous system doing?
I’ve heard from many people — and I agree — that they struggle to stay informed about what is going on daily without feeling overwhelmed. We all run into the question of what do we need to know, and how can we keep our equilibrium while knowing it?
One of social media’s assets is that it keeps us informed often in real time, of news that, in pre-technology times, would have taken days to reach us. Along with that, each of us gets the information that we want to get in our social media feeds based on the algorithms that are put together for us. Those algorithms keep us tied to our screens, our nervous system’s jacked, and our minds distracted by the terrors occurring in the world.
So how do we balance these two realities? How do we use information, even disturbing information, wisely and well?
As always, I turn to the Guides for wisdom. Here is what they say about this:
“This earth has never been without it’s power struggles. The power struggles that you see in front of you now in this country and, truly, around the world, are those where people have been co-opted by greed and false ideologies of money, power and control. They are ramping up in their quest to take more, and the easiest way to do so is by pitting people against each other. Their fear tactics are not only distracting, but create enemies in order to fracture large groups of people who might otherwise ban together against them.
“Additionally, you’re seeing the release of anger that is not really from this time. This anger has been brewing in people since their lineages and ancestors experienced their own forms of abuse, persecution, poverty, and victimization of all kinds. All the anger held in the biology and the cells of people is lifting to the surface to be expressed and released.
“We caution you all, as we have for many years, to become aware of your own anger and process it thoroughly so you do not add it to the mix of the detrimental emotions of the mass consciousness. There is a difference between taking heart-centered action meant to perpetuate a world you want to live in, versus using public outcry to release rage.
“As you manage your own emotions, you are able to hold in your heart what is right for you and your family. Act how you are called to act through connection to higher guidance, rather than to mass frenzy. Karma is now complete, having been brought to its full fruition during the Harmonic Convergence in 1989. You can let go of the loops and cycles that have dictated your actions in the past. So there is no purpose to perpetuate persecution of neighbors, religions, or other nationalities. At the heart, you are all the same. At the heart, you all want peaceful existences.”
I would like to conclude here that even amidst harsh realities, it is imperative to stay present to our own circumstances to tend to the specific realities that our individual lives are engaged in in space and time. We must refrain from projecting our greatest fears onto others, and taking on what is not ours to lament. Rather it best serves us to regularly practice dropping into our hearts to receive the next right action.
Once we claim inner stillness, we can add a sense of peace to the world instead of fear and anger. And if all of us do that, we can ride the wave of the tsunami of change and move to a higher awareness of how we move forward together to create the healing, safety and support we all want.
