  • Moving Towards Inner Peace

I want to confess something to you: I’ve been deepening my connection to my Higher self —that part of me that is my connection to Divinity.

It is my belief that we are beings of God, and that this beingness lives on in our cells and DNA. The most important task we have in this (or any) lifetime is to control the ego and connect as much as possible to our own sense of Divinity, and what that means to each of us.

Here are three steps towards making that connection:

    Recognize your story;
    Release your story;
Sit in the energy of Surrender.

To being with, it is important to understand that we each live in our own story. This story incorporates the things that have happened to us that have shaped the way we protect our hearts and the steps we do and don’t make in our lives. I read an interview once about a Buddhist monk who had been imprisoned and tortured for many years. He said he moved past his trauma by repeating his story over and over again, until it no longer had any impact on him… it no longer felt like it was about him. It was just a story.

Know your story so well… tell it as many times as you need to… until you feel unattached to it. Yes, tragic things happened. Yes, you were hurt, betrayed and broken. All of that needs to be honored, understood and held in compassion. It has made you who you are today.

And yet, at some point, it is important to move beyond that.

One powerful way that I have found to redirect toxic memories and emotions of trauma has been to bathe myself in the energy of Surrender. I know that, for some, this idea can be rather abstract, but hear me out.

Surrender is about letting go of what you want to change. Surrender is about relinquishing the desire to control people and situations. Surrender creates the state of allowing. Allowing is like the Buddhist saying: “Be in the world and not of it.” That means watch and listen, but don’t get too caught up in the illusion.

Here is the practice: What does surrender feel like to you? What does it look like? What would you do or say if you surrendered all of your worry, fear, anger, resentment, etc.? Use your imagination to create this sensory perception. Once you have the imagery of it, bathe in that sensation. Sit in this energy for at least ten minutes once or twice a day.

Surrendering the need to have things different brings us so much closer to Divinity (your Higher self) and so much farther away from drama unfolding around us.

And even if you want to change the drama you see, why stay attached to that stress? The change you desire may actually come more easily from being different, rather than doing different.

  • Claim Your Power

Upon seeing, and feeling, the chaos going on in the country and the world this week, feeling sad and at times scared, I asked for a message from the Spirit Beings I work with, and received the following. There are directions for a helpful meditation at the end.

I don’t get any future predictions, but there are a few things I hear often. That is, first, we can expect more and more chaos over the next few years, environmentally as well as politically. And, therefore, we all need to remember to be kind to each other. Finally, this is all leading up to something better — a world of more honesty and greater sense of community.

    In Love & Light,
    Randi

    Channeled Message:

Sometimes it’s not easy to feel safe. That’s especially true when you perceive that others are not safe. During these times the world can seem suddenly unpredictable and, thus, scary.

We are sorry that you are scared.

We sing a song to you, one of change and of newness. You are dearly loved.

All change begins with chaos. The darkness that has always existed on the earth — lies, bigotry, hatred, greed — is rising to the surface, because when it is buried you cannot address it. This is a world of co-creation, therefore the outer world is a direct reflection of the inner world. With that comes the responsibility of each human being to look inside of him or herself to find those dark places — the sad places, the fear, the shame — inside of themselves and heal them.

There is enough Light on this planet to ensure everyone’s protection. Yet change must occur, in this there is no choice. It is as if the scales have tipped and now the energies on this planet must right themselves by shaking free of the old institutions and regimes.

Because the earth has been ruled by a small group who have been the benefactors of it all.

You, as a planet, are not destined to fail. Your free will entitles you to choose how you respond to these days. We hope you will decide to clear your mind to settle on hope in your heart. Everyday settle your heart because it is there that you will stay with your Self.

Clear your minds daily so you do not join in the fear. This is where your power lies. If every person reading this were to maintain inner quiet — seeking action only through that still small voice inside — and then that number were to double and to double again, the scales would move toward balance more easily.

For fear is a belief. And joining that belief system empowers it. Mass consciousness creates a large force of energy towards its target. Which target do you want to energize?

That does not mean you are not to take action when called forth. But let your action come from your heart and not your fear. Do not assume anything you hear is true. Do not assume others’ actions are right for you. Find your own truth and follow that first and foremost.

    Some basic truths are:
There is more here than meets the eye.
Everyone is made from the exact same energy.
You are here at this time for a reason.
Your highest purpose is to be as authentic as possible.
    Death is not an end.

It is now time to look at what we have tacitly been agreeing to nationally as well as internationally. Honestly, honestly, honestly this is leading to something much more positive.

    A Daily Meditation:

    1. Breathe and drop your awareness into your heart. Don’t look out or above for guidance, because it is too easy to tap into the collective chaos.
    1. Drop your energy and attention down inside yourself.
    1. Gather all your energy in by stating, “All my energy comes back to me,” three times.
    1. Focus on the movement of your breath to quiet your mind. This can take anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes.
    1. Once quiet, state, “I align with Truth.”
    1. Sense the field of Truth by seeing it, feeling it, hearing the vibration of it, or knowing that It Is. Stay with this for 5 to 20 minutes.
    1. Understand that even this quiet, private inner work is a positive contribution to Light, ease and truth.
    1. Ask in this space of Truth what else you might do, what other action you might take, to contribute Light to the world.

  • There is a Flower Essence for That!

I want to make sure you know about flower essences. Every flower on the planet has it’s own unique vibration and its own unique signature to heal our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual challenges. Flower essences are 100% safe, easy to use and available to all. I have used them personally since 1998, and I incorporate them into my practice regularly. They have assisted me — and the majority of my clients — through various life challenges and changes.

Now, flower essences are not the same as essential oils (or aromatherapy). Instead, they are energetic tinctures, created by the vibratory imprint of the flower petals, and usually taken orally. They work well for humans of all ages as well as animals, plants and the energies in your home and office.

The most common flower essences are the 38 Bach remedies. As stated in an article I wrote in August of 2009, Let Flower Essences Work for You, Edward Bach discovered 38 different flower essences. Dr. Bach was a psychic sensitive, and discovered the effects of each flower through observation and their affects on him. He could touch the morning dew from a flower or its petal to his lips and he would experience the potential therapeutic effects of the plant. In fact, he was so sensitive that when he was exposed to a particular flower, he would experience all the physical symptoms and emotional states to which the flower was an antidote. This, in conjunction with feedback from his patients, created his definitions of the Bach Flower Remedies.

I tend to notice common “themes” in my practice every few months. Lately, I have seen many clients going through challenges in family and personal relationships. These are a few essences that may create a greater sense of ease during those struggles:

Hardhack: Hardhack releases ties that bind, while honoring ties that connect. It opens the heart, releasing grasping tendencies, infantile needs aimed at others; and/or co-dependence. Hardhack helps us release the need to cling to intimates and family members as our individual growth creates differing stages of interaction.

Hibiscus: Red Hibiscus offers much healing support to those who have been through experiences of abuse, particularly sexual abuse. It helps to cleanse the etheric body where we hold memories of abuse so that we release the trauma of these memories and also works to heal the emotional body where we store the emotions linked to the abuse.

Maltese Cross: When events tear our lives apart, Maltese Cross pulls us back into our center and imbues us with faith that an unconditionally loving creator is present in even the most divisive looking situation. Maltese Cross knows that experiences that seem to shatter us into pieces actually break us open so we can know our wholeness, holiness and the unity of all things.

Walnut: For those overly influenced by the social expectations or values of family or community, or for whom past experiences or beliefs inhibit the soul’s evolution. Walnut frees us from limiting influences, allowing us to make healthy transitions in life, and to find the inner strength to follow our own path and destiny.

Wintergreen: Wintergreen helps us express ourselves fully and unapologetically. It helps us shed shame based self editing or any behaviors chosen to hide our light under a bushel. It helps us be comfortable in our own skins so we can toss all sorts of false responsibilities and false personas and get on with the vital task of being our true selves.
